Staying in the Hot Seat
My run up to 50 started in January with the planning of year-long celebrations, AH Los Angeles registrations and Alaska cruise booking, plane ticket purchasing and scheming for a year of fun up to the big five oh. Oh 50! I have seen you ahead in the distance through life’s windshield for so many years and enjoying the fun of the run up to this momentous odometer roll! Yes!
I could have posted every day of 2019 with something wonderful toward the 50th, but instead I kicked it of with just fifteen days to go. My “15 to 50” started off right. I was beyond delighted to begin the countdown in the Abraham-Hicks hot seat. Life! How do I love thee? Let me count (down) the ways…
I marked the 15 Days to 50 Years with daily reflections and when words and phrases can’t do it justice and just get too long and wordy what do we do? Haiku!
Day 1 August 31: HOT SEAT
Beliefs match desires
Eyes illuminate the path
And an alternate ending to this haiku would be Infinite patience. Infinite patience toward all of us in general and toward me in my first hot seat, in specific. I came in with a lowball question, but they patiently hung in there, and while keeping my personal details confidential, got right to the root of a recent (and unusual) contrast challenge I was experiencing. Amazing. Appreciated! They showed me the obvious, talked the crowd up the emotional scale, and broke for refreshment. SO SATISFYING!
Those eyes settled to rest and the finger pointed my way in the space between belief matching desires and a pleasant distraction. I was absentmindedly celebrating Patrick’s hot seat just before me (and recalling the similar awesomeness of his hot seat in Alaska). Peter (Alaska cruise pal, zip line fellow excursionist and sharer of Thai noodles in Ketchikan) had just been in the chair. I was riding high remembering his wonderful openness and soak-it-in attitude. A fine and dandy start to celebrating 15 glorious days to 50.
Sept 1: San Diego in the Vortex with the Alaska Cruise pal crew reunited and flying high.
Tribe in the vortex
Co-create and manifest
What fun! We did that!
Adventuring, discovering, Getting to know my law of attraction “random roomie” Alaska Cruise cabin mate (now hotel mate and 2x hostel mate as well) even better and seeing so many alignments it just continues to be more ridiculous and delightful. So in line, such a pleasure, so much good. I can find the adventures of solo travel to fit into group fun. There are so many ways to have one wonderful moment after the next.
Sept 2 Labor (of Love) Day aka Back Home in Alignment and Appreciation
Nurturing my love
Abraham was right
Still walking into walls over Abraham’s open and direct words… and even more so for the “message behind the message” they so graciously “slipped into the cracks” without outward discussions. Home to my love with renewed vim and vigor and to 100% return to who we really are and how fun that truly is. THIS yes, this is a lot more fun. Thank you Abraham.
Sept 3 Tuesday Back to Corporate Co-creating aka Paychecks and Playchecks.
Today, an old friend hired
My load lightens up!
Manifesting time. As in, creating more time for life and balance, with no sacrifice. I wrote everything I loved about a particularly wonderful part of my job (ED of our 501c3 nonprofit) that I have loved for 10-11 years, just the right amount of time. The ideal new leader emerged from my past with a text, before the job description was even written, much less posted. The thought is exhilarating. She is on the way to usher a new start and I get to have the fun to watch it fly to a grand new beginning. Allll the while focusing on what I really love about my job and having the fun of supporting and being a cooperative component to a brilliant new future for this organization I love.
Sept 4 Writing for Renters – Batting 1000
I wrote what I loved
Happy, easy, honest, fun
One more rental filled
Wrote the story of the perfect rental resident. Felt it, enjoyed it, dusted the furniture, flipped the welcome mat and expected the email. Paperwork signed within 48 hours and two happy residents are settled into one of my favorite residential rental homes.
Sept 5 Thursday, The Onion Peels… the Farmer’s Market and Playtime Pays Off
Layers fall away
One’s past, another’s future
They can take a lead.
Market, figs and fun.
Following impulses pays!
Hired my party band
I have TIME to stop at the Farmer’s Market, to sit, connect, to enjoy the music. I am in charge of my life and define my days and my choices. No scarcity time thinking, only the abundance of time. Of which, I am about to gain a little more. One of the best parts of work is co creating and building a confident, happy, productive and fun-loving team. Carving out yet another part of my current position and defining a promotion for on of the crew has been a great exercise and will provide a challenging opportunity for their growth and expansion. Fun (and HELP) is on the way! And in stopping, I found THE (THE!) perfect solo musician/multi instrumentalist/fannnntastic perfect singer songwriter for a birthday party, to be scheduled after his next Farmer’s Market gig. PERFECT. PLAYING PAYS.

THE LAST SUNDAY IN MY 40s. Hit the secret Fall wholesale Gem Show for A Nice World and love the feeling of buying chain by the 50-foot spool now. Many many pendants to be strung for a wonderful collaboration with Mission Garden and a fundraiser amulet I created to support the cause. Even the necklace-making is doing good – hiring local artists to assemble these shiny beauties. A plan for one new neighbor to see the 1955 Time Capsule residential rental exploded into an impromptu birthday celebration and home tour, with neighbors coming out of the woodwork to see the house and celebrate, drinks and snacks in hand, (and some Nice jewelry on display, too!) I love my neighborhood. So much to love. Goodnight Sunday. Ill see you again in my 50s.
