Mission Garden (NFS)
From the Nice & Not for Sale Collection
Mission Garden Pendant – Not for Sale, but Deeply Rooted
Designed in collaboration with founding board member Roger Pfeuffer, this symbolic pendant was created to honor Mission Garden—Tucson’s living agricultural museum nestled in the ancient Santa Cruz Valley. Inspired by their original logo, the design evokes the indigenous man-in-the-maze symbol, reimagined with a seed-and-plant motif to reflect the Garden’s roots in food heritage, cultural history, and biodiversity.
These pendants were hand-crafted in three tiers—bronze, silver, and gold—as part of a special fundraiser for donors and members. Originally available only through Mission Garden’s on-site gift shop, they quickly became a meaningful emblem of support.
Today, what was once flat dirt is a thriving oasis of fruit trees, flowering vines, arched walkways, and heritage crops. The calendar is rich with community events, harvest festivals, and ancient foodways education. I’m incredibly proud to have been an early supporter—and honored to have played a small part in helping this desert garden grow.
About the Nice & Not for Sale Collection
Some things in life - and at A Nice World - aren’t for sale. It might be because they’re too sentimental, or one of a kind, or available exclusively through our beneficiaries. Or maybe they were made for a world (Burning Man) where nothing is for sale.
