FAQ
What’s up with all the boomerangs?
The boomerang is a symbol I love. It was chosen as the image for A Nice World as a meaningful, metaphoric reminder that everything we give, always comes back.
Who founded A Nice World and who creates Nice jewelry?
Learn more about A Nice World and the founder in the About page.
How do the donations from A Nice World work?
A minimum of 33% of profit is donated from every purchase. Often, the donation is 50% and there are always special “100% profit donated” Nice fundraiser jewelry designs on the site. Members of the VNP (Very Nice Person) list learn about special sales, advanced notice of 100% donated days, surprise bonus gifts and opportunities to direct where the funds from their purchase are donated.
Who are the beneficiaries of the 33%-100% donations?
Currently I’m over the moon with inspiration and appreciation for Operation Underground Railroad (www.ourrescue.org). All donations from boomerang and non-cause-aligned designs currently fuel this bright light.
Some Nice jewelry is steadily aligned with a cause. For example, Braille jewelry purchases are donated to help prevent blindness. For every Joy Key purchased, children’s libraries receive a brand new copy of a “Sara Learns the Secret” book, written by Abraham-Hicks. Buyers of the Joy Keys are encouraged to share an uplifting inscription which I hide, tucked into the margin for the kids to find.
Watch for upcoming blogs about designs, beneficiaries and special stories of the people making it all come to life. As more products are added to A Nice World, we’ll reach out to VNPs for special pre-release offers, discounts and contests.
What type of materials are used to make jewelry from A Nice World?
Nice jewelry is generally available in sterling silver and/or 14 karat gold vermeil-quality plated. Some Nice designs are offered in golden bronze for a price point that makes giving fun and easy.
What if I see a design on social media that’s not listed for sale at A Nice World?
Some Nice fundraiser jewelry designs are available exclusively through the beneficiary, through custom fundraiser jewelry in their gift shops, via online stores or as exclusive membership items and donor gifts. Other Nice designs may still be available, just email me to chat.
SHIP / RETURN RELATED FAQ
What are shipping costs and timeline?
US shipping and handling is a flat fee of $11.11. Orders of in-stock items typically take 5 days but I guarantee under 2 weeks, depending on your location.
For items not in stock, those which require engraving or customization, large quantities or wholesale purchases for shops and galleries, please email in advance to ensure I can accommodate your timeline.
Do you ship worldwide?
Nice orders within the US are shipped via UPS for a flat fee of $11.11. UPS is preferred for the tracking number, insurance and a guaranteed arrival date.
International shipping fees vary widely, based on the value and location. For international orders, please email me. I’ll learn the cost and inform you prior to purchase.
How do you manage returns?
To help keep A Nice World donations high, please choose your pieces with care before purchasing. This maximizes happiness and minimizes overhead. Email me or add a note at checkout with any questions you may have and we’ll be sure to hit the mark.
Return your piece in its original condition and packaging within two weeks of receiving and drop me an email in advance. We’ll work it out for a refund, store credit or exchange. To return Nice jewelry purchased at a retail store or gallery, please work with them within their return procedure and policy.
If there’s anything about your piece that’s flawed, damaged or not so nice, send photos and details of your concerns within three days of receipt. We’ll work it out quickly and be sure you’re happy and satisfied with your purchases from A Nice World.
After lots of wear you might expect to need a simple reshaping of a ring band which should be easy for any local jewelry store to do for you, complimentary.
Repairs to rings with stones can risk compromising the setting and may not always be possible or recommended.
Do all Nice pieces look exactly the same as the photos?
Our jewelry is hand sculpted and cast with care for a uniform, what-you-see-is-what-you-get look. Stones and settings may vary slightly, making them unique to you.
What if the ring doesn’t fit or A Nice World doesn’t offer my size?
Please remember to check your ring size before ordering. If a perfect fit for a particular finger is required, most Nice rings can be resized for an additional fee, which adds a couple more weeks to the timeline.
